Incredibly stacked cast, even all the side characters that are in a single scene had me pointing at the screen thinking “hey it’s that guy, from that other thing”. I know I mention it all the time, but this is another one I’ve been meaning to rewatch forever, and I’m glad I finally did. Sweet, touching, and funny lil quirky movie that feels very much of its time.

It’s just such a delightfully cute and funny movie. It had been too long since my last watch, and was glad to break out the criterion for this one. Wes is truly at the peak of his style here without going completely overboard.

The Sting 1973
I watched this earlier in the afternoon, and then immediately went to a birthday dinner for my aunt ginny when it ended. I had honestly forgot I watched it in that short time. It didn’t really do it for me. It felt really long, and found myself checking the time left a few times. Some parts were really cool, like the card game on the train and any scene inside their fake horse race betting office. But who knows, maybe I was just sleepy in my mid afternoon lull.
