The action scenes are pretty cool, Iron Man had cooler scenes though. The only actor without a cheesey line was Ford, but the other dialogue was bearable. Marvel has a bad habit of dumb jokes in the middle of serious situations, and that was abundant in this one.

Tolkien did such a great job portraying Biblical messages in this story. Any viewer could take away the theme that temptation and evil cannot be overcome alone, and that faith, community, and patient endurance are the only means of having victory. And not only did the heroes win, but they had such an overwhelming victory that sin and death was completely destroyed.
Favorite characters: Gandolf, Sam, Legolas
