This was actually pretty good for the most of it, the kids were good actors, and then they lost the plot and decided to tack on the "relationship with dad" arc at the end??? It came out of nowhere and was so underdeveloped, he didn't do anything with his dad other than buying the sketchy cabbage patch kid. They really didn't have to kill him off to grab at heartstrings or whatever because it just felt shallow and disappointing :/ also where was his sister during the present day? She was like the best character

FINALLY a FILM that I actually LIKED ahhhhhh I mean the blend of gorgeous cinematography, chill soundtrack, lots of philosophical points being made (that I can continue to ponder for a while), and especially the lack of severe drama, it just felt like a glimpse into their lives, with genuine emotions and great performances (and beautiful nature) throughout.
