Shocked to find out the 3 Kneecap members in the film are not actors, but rather themselves. Wonderful performances, bravo.
Very uniquely shot and edited, worthy of serious praise on a small budget.
Not my favorite film of late, but there’s enough there to enjoy.
The cinematography alone is hauntingly beautiful. Don't expect a remake of the classic Suspiria film, simply expect a reimagining of Dario Argento's tale. At two and a half hours long, the movie flowed fluidly and quickly, and never seemed to drag.
BUT WHAT DID I JUST WATCH?!
I'm not quite sure, but I liked it, a lot, I think, and future rewatches will help solidify this rating. Wow.
48th A24 film I’ve seen.
This was one of my most anticipated films, if not my MOST anticipated film, since I first saw the trailer pre-COVID.
To start, atmospherically this film is truly special. From the framing, twisting, cutting, and coloring of almost every single shot, you are completely transported to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’s kingdoms and embark on a journey of self-discovery and honor in an unfamiliar world.
