  -1/2 star for the blood spray at the end. I really thought we were going to avoid that in a horror movie for once but I was proven wrong (had the same hopes for suspira… alas)

  Loved the concept and the relationship between Qualley and Moore despite them not meeting face to face (until they did lolz)

  This movie had me thinking this was based off the real Bob Ross for a solid half hour and put the poor guy at risk of cancellation 😭 

  The Bob Ross and Anchorman crossover I didn’t need ❤️

  Betrayed once again by a horror movie.. spoiler: the last 10 minutes are all blood, it was demons behind the whole thing all along, and the screen has a weird red tint (hi evil dead!). 

  So many subplots that never got addressed including Klemperer’s purpose in the story, what happened to Patrizia, etc. 

  I’d watch the 1977 version to see if it’s any better but I’m scared of being disappointed yet again. Time to watch Dakota Johnson’s other well-known, well-regarded movie.

  This movie was so visceral and real to me. It captured so much of what we experience in our lifetimes: pain, loss, love, joy, conflict, and somehow made it all so beautiful. 

  Not a dry eye in the theatre when the credits started rolling.
