Snow White 2025
Corny and campy. Fortunately, corny and campy is kind of my thing! Blending a full blown new musical with classic beats from the original, “Snow White” is perhaps the most unexpected treat of the year. Rachel Zegler enchants, while Gal Gadot chews up the scenery like she skipped breakfast AND lunch in this incredibly earnest film. I even bought the Dwarfs— though not sure why Grumpy looked like Tommy Lee Jones, or how come Dopey looked like the kid from “The Polar Express,” and why they had him (spoiler redacted).

“We Live In Time”? They should call it “We Play with Time,” am I right? This tearjerker featuring compelling performances by Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield is undermined by its intentionally (and needlessly) deceptive nonlinear structure.
