Squid Game 2021
Gut wrenching nearly 500 minutes long film shown as a series in the US, catalogued here as a film.
There’s a part 2 (“season two”) which will be followed up by the final part 3 this summer.
Like Parasite and many Korean works it uses a metaphorical framework to tell a heart-crushing gut-wrenching tale of what people can do to people. Specially when it comes to money. A tale as old as time except far from being Didneyesque it manages to paint a cruel world in a seemingly everyday “normal” way.

The Sixth Sense 1999
This film as far as I’m concerned it’s the best surprise-ending film of modern times.
Unlike lesser stories that pull rabbits out of thin air, the creator of the movie keeps dropping big hints, actually telling us what’s happening except we are too blind to see it.
I immediately watched it again to relish on the missed disclosures. The best gift you can give anyone that hadn’t seen it is keeping her/him in the dark. Not a peep.
We all knew that this never heard of before Shayamalan guy was going to be a big deal.Translated from by

YOU CANT IGNORE CHEMISTY
On today’s double feature at the theater I thought this one would bring home the beacon.
Cute story for sure. Sprinkled w sight gags. Had a lot of the ingredients for a big movie: Clark Kent type turns Superman. Big burly bad guys. Family feuds, secret lives, tale of revenge. Bad ass g/f returns.
But ironically it was very short on chemistry. Our couple had the chemistry of moldy bread. Great if you are inventing penicillin…Translated from by -
Cleaner 2025
There’s a new Die Hard clone with a few twists. It’s British made, set in London, and stars Daisy Ridley. I found it enjoyable but not memorable. Weighing in at 90 minutes long it should feel shorter than it does. In my opinion they under utilized Clive Owen and Ridley didn’t see enough action. Based on how little marketing it has received it’s probably headed for streaming. On the other hand how can you pan a movie that actually employs an autistic actor (Matthew Tuck) playing an autistic character (Micheal) who is credited with actually enhancing the role by adding additional material himself.
