  in all honesty this film stood out to me; the beginning was slow but i could never take my eyes off the screen. it was disturbing and grotesque yet sensual and romantic. the cinematography, noir atmosphere, sound design, acting, & cast were all very captivating and watching it in the theatre def enhanced all that. sexual scenes were uncomfortable but done in a tasteful way that conveyed meaning. i was especially drawn to bill skarsgard and lily rose depp’s performances. i actually didn’t know…
