exactly what i needed right now, it’s unbelievable. it’s a love letter to people who need bravery, even if it’s just a pinch, a glimpse. it can’t be helped, i have to make it into my favorites list.

P.S. so cool to see mark scout a smug dickhead of a transition director and mr. drummond a drunk helicopter pilot here LMAO

brilliantly (and subtly) showcased how this “other pandemic” is gradually and steadily affecting the male demographic—both young and old—around the world and how this rot plagues not just society as a whole but individual persons, ordinary families, and even those perpetrators, dooms them all to almost irreparable and irreversible consequences, all because some men—supposedly grown ones—feel the need to broadcast their entitlement to women’s personhood for every impressionable young people in the digital age to consume. what a time to be alive.

some parts were just too intense that i had to stop for a second lmao on the other hand, in other scenes, i feel like the “did he? did he not” typa ambiguity that it’s going for wasn’t really portrayed much especially in scenes when there’s a doubt rising, the next frame will just ~subtly~ show the answer, i.e. the lechon scene.

anyways, it was a good good friday watch. thanks @ asianfilmfiles on twt lol

to be woman is to be fleeting.

from the bottom of my heart do i hate how being a woman can usually be equated to being a concept, a collective idea, even. it’s freaking exhausting.

beautiful film, above all. the plot still stands today, 13 years later, unfortunately.
