Lolita 1997
Only managed to get through 1h 15, and wont continue to watch. So far, key details left out of the movie (e.g., HH's first wife-as-disguise, the prostitutes, HH at the parks, the true intent behind the sleeping pills, scene at Hourglass Lake where HH fantasises about killing CH) point towards the motivation of the director in depicting HH as 'innocent' and someone for the audience to sympathise with; someome about whom the audience is not meant to be viscerally disgusted by. DH is conversely depicted as a provocative seductress, who is in control, mature, and self-aware. What the fuck?

Came for the legs, wasn't disappointed. Couldn't get over the ears and insane camera angles. Overall, incredibly overhyped mid movie.
