Mad Max 2 was definitely a step up from the original, and definitely follows the expected progression of the series I have in my head (being someone who saw Fury Road first, then the original). Krotoa 2017
The movie was very well put together in a cinematic perspective, but the romanticism of the relationship of Krotoa and he husband is in poor taste. Though this was intended to be a romantic movie, it was very historic, and I feel like there should have been more fact checking done before hand.

Annihilation reminds me a lot of 2001: A Space Odyssey and William Carlos Williams’ poem The Red Wheelbarrow. All three of these heavily depend upon visual interpretation and silence. The only difference is the demeanor of the how it is represented and how it is accepted by the audience.
