  While this was beautifully shot, the plot left a lot to be desired. I haven’t read the book, but as a lot of adaptations have it, I know there’s much more to the story than made into the movie. Nevertheless, this was a great attempt at telling this story, particularly the second half being about the Biafra war. Telling the stories of conflict, wars and colonialism across African cinema does not happen often.   An absolutely epic experience. I don’t have the words to describe everything I went through in that cinema but wow. Wow. I fear Dune Two has ruined me for every other movie. I don’t think I will ever recover.
