Nightmare Alley 2021
Some of the characters were easy to connect to which got me slightly Interested. It's one of those pull for the underdog movies. There was good drama to hold your interest. The music helped in moving the story along and fit with the circus theme. At time the music added to the drama.

I felt this movie tried too hard. I feel they stuffed so many actors into it, it was distracting. Over acting and over dramatization bogged this movie down. Jonah Hill's acting was the only believable and non over reaching..... Can't remember the music so it must not have been that good.

The Power of the Dog 2021
Well this movie had beautiful scenery and was visually stunning I felt that it moved really slow. It had a darkness about it not from a visual aspect but from the characters. This brought about the idea that bullying and inequality we're taking place. And revenge is played out. The soundtrack was moving at times but sometimes the violin music seemed whiny and tense which I believe was supposed to enhance the film but it kind of distracted from it.…

Good energy even though black and white was trying to time stamp movie. Funny and quirky characters made the tension of the times bareable. Not as much history portrayed as I thought there would be. But it showed how the conflict effected the family in multi generations.
