  I’m not sure if this is a better “movie” than the Nolan movies (it’s close) but it is certainly a more “Batman” movie than they are. The Arkham series influence is all over this and it feels like a mix of that and a Fincher thriller in the best ways. Also, it may be the best score from a Batman film. #TheBatman #Batman

  Yesssss. Beautifully romantic. Richard Jenkins for MVP (Sally Hawkins is perfect as well). I also appreciate how the movie portrays masturbation as the normal, commonplace act it is, rather than as a gag that only unappealing, crude characters participate in (Seth Rogen comedy, American Pie). 

  Probably the most I’ve ever liked Alexandre Desplat. 

  Creature design is great. Romance between creature and Hawkins is as convincing as any this year.

  PS : I’m a huge fan of the use of water as a way to transition from scene to scene.
