“Who cares if we can’t see any sunshine, i want you more than any blue sky. The Weather can stay crazy!”

Makoto Shinkai’s “Weathering with you” is an emotional rollercoaster which deserves all the credit it gets.

The two leads are very strong and almost as good as the leads in his earlier word “Your Name”. Although I believe “Your Name” to still be his biggest achievement and best film this is very much a close second with cameos from the…

Okay wow, this might be the best film I’ve seen since “Across the Spiderverse”.

It’s Written to perfection, acting is phenomenal and the film is shot so incredibly beautiful. Keiran Culikn puts in such a special performance, one for the ages very much reminding me of Paul Mescal in “Aftersun”.

Jesse Esienberg also needs to be spoken about, as his 2nd feature it’s an incredible achievement and a must watch for anyone.

“But maybe this whole time I was waiting for you, like the cherry blossoms waiting for spring.”

So, I didn’t expect this to be anywhere near as sad as it was. I think the leads are phenomenal. The last 25 minutes are genuinely perfect it tells such a long story in short amount of time and nothing feels like it’s dragging or rushing.

Really well written and a near perfect film, goes from being really happy to one of the most depressing ending I’ve seen in a while.

Loved the first 2 episodes, the effect of the one shot wore off me though after this. It’s well acted and well written but I feel like it could have been cut down by about 2 hours and unfortunately because of it, it started to drag on a bit for me.

Still think the 2 leads should win awards though as they were phenomenal

This is film is a key example of ruined by the trailers. First trailer was so good but after that it gave too much away.

    Still fun never the less
