Absolutely gutted to write that this is the worst film of the X trilogy. Some fun gory kills and Mia Goth slays - but a ropey third act and an unrelentingly boring cast of side characters plague this film.
So much potential to wrap this story up in a satisfying manner while drawing on the themes laid out in “X” and “Pearl”; neglected in favour of a bland, contrived homage to 80s pop culture and its associated aesthetics and tropes.…

After being relatively unimpressed with the first season of JJK, I had higher hopes for the movie which appeared to have a more self contained plot and promised more of some of the strengths of the anime series - big budget, quality animation and stellar soundtrack. Those factors definitely deliver, and the film is overall a joy to watch, and I found myself much more immersed in Yuta and his narrative compared to the series’ actual protagonist, who is absent from this movie. A very easy watch, and there is much to be enjoyed in this 90 minute adventure.

The Batman is a brilliant, fresh take on the Caped Crusader. It balances fun, albeit clichéd superhero movie tropes with a deliciously dark plot and outstanding performances particularly from Robert Pattinson as the titular hero. Zoe Kravitz is also stunning as Catwoman, and Colin Farrell’s Penguin is arguably the best rendition of the character to date.
