How the camera moves in this film should be something that any aspiring cinematographer or director should deeply study, it made this movie feel alive. this is probably my 8th or so rewatch of this film and i find something new to love about it and dig at each and every time. From a technical, creative, and visual standpoint this movie is a master class that depicts the LOVE between a father and son so intimately and beautifully. Praise should be given to the way this film was cut, starting scenes at the end or the middle, showing us what’s happening before we hear it…

a disgusting and grimy showcase of hard drug use and the oddly well spoken users stuck in the vicious cycle. danny boyle does such a great job immersing you into this community of users who feed off eachother, try to get clean but fail each time in a cycle that makes you lose count of how many times they’ve relapsed. honestly one of hollywoods best drug PSAs.
