Not saying it *was* made for this reason but if I was gonna make a movie to promote the idea that getting stabbed in the stomach is not that big a deal, I would make Scream VI.

The satire of this movie hits so much harder 22 years later. But keeping in mind what the late-90s were like, it makes sense that so many dudes took it purely at face value and made Fight Club some kind of soft manifesto.
