Sure, the stuff with Stacy Keach and his dopey sidekicks isn't the greatest. A lot of their scenes are fast-forward optional. The rest of "Nice Dreams", however, is really funny. Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are both at the top of their game. "Nice Dreams" is probably their best movie.

"Dressed to Kill" ends up being a tale of three cities. The beginning is draggy, the middle excellent and ending takes forever. "Dressed to Kill" is still worth watching but it's starting to enter the "for De Palma fans only" zone. Honorable mention: Dennis Franz.

Clint Eastwood and company deliver the goods with "Escape from Alcatraz". It's is a tight, suspenseful and surprisingly quiet thriller. It has a lot of good scenes.
