La Haine 1995
Couldn’t think of a witty quip! But this is such a beautiful movie where every single scene and line of dialogue is meaningful and works to move the plot forward. Its commentary on middle class French society is literally Nkrumah’s definition of a neo-colonial metro and is as poignant now as it was 30 years ago, and the ability to stir emotions from 90 min of story is probably unmatched.
