  This is such a strange one, where I can see what the movie is getting at with its critique of consumerist culture and commentary on masculinity, it perhaps didn’t resonate with me as much as it would someone from an older generation. I believe it’s more of an examination of Generation X and therefore targeted towards that audience.

  If a movie of the same calibre was made now perhaps it would be reflected on in the same way in 25 or so years.

  I liked the twist though.

  Whilst Joker: Folie à Deux clearly does not live up to its predecessor, it certainly does not deserve the hate and criticism it has received upon release.
