  This is how superhero movies should be. They are not action movies, they are not blockbusters, they are comic book films. This film is a perfect translation from the comic into live action. Each shot can be a still in a comic book.

  Batman is actually written as the source material intended. He is a detective. He doesn't use guns. He wears eyeliner.

  I also appreciate how Gotham is it's own character in the film and feels like a far more expensive world.

  I'm also glad there is no quippy humor for the kids.
