I hadn’t heard much of this movie till I heard that the film won 5 Oscar’s. Usually films that win Oscar’s tend to be divisive. Mad Max 1979
It was interesting to see the beginning of the Mad Max franchise. A lot different than Furiosa. George Miller is very good at directing and it shows throughout this low budget beginning of a franchise. Even if the beginning of Mad Max is not as impressive as later entries, Mad Max is still inspirational to a lot of sci-fi media like Fallout, The Terminator, and a little cool reference in Saw I. Overall I recommend it. Though expect a lot of Australian slang and accents. Don’t expect this to be as insane as Furiosa or Fury Road.

Ok so monkey. Well I liked this one half a star better than Longlegs. Though this movie does have flaws. The child acting is a mixed bag for me. This movie tone felt deaf at times. The movies didn't know whether it wanted to be a serious horror movie or an over the top horror movie.
