A slick and stylish thriller series that’s patient yet never boring. Andrew Scott is at the top of his game here, so what’s not to love? The commitment to black and white for all eight episodes maintains the mystery and tension whilst exercising some marvellous shots throughout. Loved it.

As a big Dylan fan, I really enjoyed this. Yes, it follows the familiar tropes and structure of musical biopic, but the performances felt so authentic, so carefully prepared for and so well executed. A Complete Unknown is a great visual gateway into the mythological and freewheeling ways of one of today’s greatest living artists.
