The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001
Look… there are good moments, but holy fuck there is some questionable editing, acting, effects, plot, pacing, dialogue, Elijah Woods falling over every time he’s on screen. Sean Bean is the GOAT, but this movie is not nearly as good as I remember. All I could remember was the particular good moments that make up maybe 15% of this movie. It’s so long but feels so rushed.
Still going to continue this marathon tho.

This film is pretty much everything I love about fiction. An extremely bold and expressive plot that embodies how bizarre and borderline absurd you can get without tipping into stupid territory. The perception you have on the characters evolves overtime as the story progresses and motives are revealed, creating a sense of unmatched intrigue. Perfect action, unique plot and extremely interesting characters makes pretty much the perfect movie.
Kinda has a ‘That’s my boy’ feel to it.
