  For anyone on the fence about this film: this movie has SKATEBOARD MONTAGES DURING THE EMOTIONAL SCENES!!!!! Watch this movie it’s a cult classic! It’s real. This dude put himself in a movie with a top hat and said this is my movie. Name a bigger flex.

  Because so much money was put into this, I was worried it was gonna have to check the boxes and do the boring blockbuster thing but luckily that’s not the case. It’s a movie with a feeling and that feeling is fear, shock, and uncomfortable familiarity as societal collapse is probably gonna happen in our lifetimes (I’m repping team ohio). 

  Watching this in theaters is required viewing.

  The Brutalist 2024

  I gotta think on this one, theres a lot going on. It felt like I was watching something in an art museum on imax. Very big and ethereal. Just not enjoyable to watch in the moment especially for 3.5 hours. I love epics, I have a soft spot for them but this wasn’t my style and that’s okay.

  I do enjoy the very dense subtext this movie has and what I think it’s trying to say, it’s very clever stuff. So overall my feelings are positive.
