for all its rights and/or wrongs, this film is iconic in every sense
cast, characters, writing, cinematography, music, message - at times it feels like a new shakespeare play set in 1989
its as relevant and powerful now as it was back then
I genuinely cannot believe it took me this long to watch it
also, on the note of shakespeare, watching this it is so clear how baz luhrmann basically ripped off this films entire vibe in romeo and juliet
