Fantastic Planet 1973
I ain’t gonna lie….the french really cooked with this one🫣 I loved the simple yet still facinating trope of switching the roles of humans with a “inferior species”. I may or may not have had more respect to all the insects out there that I may have killed in the past💔 I’m sorry. Visuals were amazing and aged well in my opinion and DAMN that’s soundtrack is ear crack I swear to god

I don’t I’ve seen a realer comedy that’s genuinely made me laugh throughout its whole run time while simultaneously keeping itself grounded with reality. The very human dialogue and perspectives almost make you forget it’s a comedy until it kinda highlights how silly life is sometimes and somewhat reminds you to not take life too seriously. The comedic scenes aren’t typical “movie comedic timing” but rather leans more into a dry humor that is more or less recognizable within day…
