The movie grabbed me at the beginning and never once did I lose interest. John Carpenter’s music is really its own genre, it really stands out here. The opening credit music almost feels frightening on its own. I also think this is probably Donald Pleasence’s best work with John Carpenter by a long shot. I love the way this movie makes you terrified of a jar of spinning goop. The lore and ideologies this explore was really interesting and something…

If you didn’t see this in a movie theater, where the speakers are blowing up your eardrums. Then you didn’t really see it.

Half star extra cause Anthony Hopkins is having fun (for a while I thought he wasn’t even going to show up). Didn’t know this movie existed until this morning, apparently Sam Raimi was one of the producers. Tries to say something and fails, also tries to make Bill Skarsgard sympathetic too and fails. But still kind of enjoyable. This is a stubs movie, I’d never spend money to see it. Also this movie does that one Family Guy bit where there’s like 50 production companies.

Really a whole new direction from the first. One of the greatest action movies of all time, no doubt. Still not better than Fury Road. Definitely worth catching whenever it’s in theaters.

Reminded me of an early to mid 2000’s comedy that I’d get from Blockbuster and forget that I ever saw it

Led Zeppelin, more like the four losers.

This is basically the director asking the simplest questions, with no insight into the bands struggles or any information past their second album (even then you hardly get any information about those albums). The concert scenes and the music played really well in IMAX, but that shouldn’t be what you rely on. It felt like the director was such a big fan of the band and caught up in meeting them, that he…
