  Mark Ruffalo! Naomi Ackie! Steven Yeun! RoPat! Everybody was giving their all, and they really took this and ran with it. Genuinely saucy, fun performances. The movie itself gets weighed down by some imbalanced pacing, exposition, and simply having too many plates spinning at once. Bong has a lot to say about capitalism, classism, colonization, populism, religious fanaticism, xenophobia, environmentalism, military ethics, inhumane sciences. It unfortunately gets a little muddled in the mix, and it’s hard to focus into any one particular point.

  Excessive, derivative, and apathetic. 

  Emotionless A-plot, hilariously bad B-plot. 

  One upside is that it gives a great depiction of how annoying Tennessee Volunteer fans are.
