X-Men: First Class 2011
I was truly disappointed. It failed to live up to expectations. Surprisingly Kevin Bacon was one of the highlights, along with a handful of addt'l good performances, but beyond that, the movie was flawed in many areas.
Setting this film during the Cuban Missile Crisis is almost inexplicable. No care or attention was paid in set, costume, or visual design to ground the film in the 1960's. A screening of Apollo 13 during preproduction would have come in handy. January…
