  This is an insane gore-fest that doesn’t try to take itself seriously and a rather ridiculous premise of two brothers who hate each others guts and a magical demonic toy monkey that kills people Final Destination-style. I want more of this kind of stuff.

  The first time that I saw this was back during the pandemic. Now, rewatching this 5 years later and on the big screen at Alamo Drafthouse, I’ve forgotten how insanely crazy this movie is. Let me say this, if you haven’t seen this movie, GO AND WATCH THIS MOVIE!!! It’s got everything that nerds like me want in a action comedy: hilarious dialog, kickass fight scenes, quick, fast paced editing, memorable characters, awesome music, and a story straight out of an anime. It’s a movie made by nerds, for nerds.
