This worked for me because it’s really about “how tv was made in the 70’s” with the Olympic attack as the setting. Which was cool. But after just seeing Saturday Night, I couldn’t help but feel like I just saw that stuff.
It’s a story about the people trying to cover a story that’s more captivating than the one the movie tells. It failed to make me more invested in the emotions and decisions of the ABC staff than what’s going on in the real story. So my attention and investment was not in any of the characters, just the events they were covering.
