  Zombieland is one of my all time favourite movies and for years I'd been wishing for a sequel and maybe it's these years of expectations building that left me rather underwhelmed by double tap. Whilst it's still enjoyable and a worthwhile movie the magic of the first was the chemistry between the four and for me too much of the sequel either doesn't have them together or has other rather annoying characters spoiling scenes.   Jojo Rabbit 2019

  It would've been very easy, given the subject matter, for this film to turn out insensitive, disrespectful etc but Taika Waititi did an amazing job. As dark comedy's go this is one of the very best, the humour always hits but the films soul has much deeper and emotional foundations. The journey we go on with the protagonist is both heart-warming and heart-wrenching at times and as all good films do, it leaves you thinking about what you've just seen for many hours after the credits role.

  Been putting off watching this for years as I'd only heard amazing things and I didn't think it could live up to the hype. Finally caved in and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Probably still suffered from the hype but I'm more than excited to see the TV series.

  Behind Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Thor in terms of my fave Taika films but this is another example of him being a funny bastard
