Beautiful and off putting movie where the main source of tension is the main characters relationship in peril. People have always compared this movie to Persona but despite a few major similarities between the characters, I think the movies are pretty distinct.

The 1950s movie tourism was in full force here. Nice, France is not the most compelling or plot relevant location, although it is beautiful! The age difference between the 2 leads was very very jarring and I felt they didn’t have a lot of chemistry. I felt like they were both kinda phoning it in.
