We were confused. The entire story revolved around a fantasy that was not elaborated in the movie itself. There was a huge element of guessing when it came to the protagonist, her past, intentions and her behavior. The side characters were weirdly irrelevant as they contributed nothing to the story line. We did not like the protagonist and we felt bad for the husband.
