Big fan of both mumbo AND jumbo, so I fux with all the human sacrifice chat, tribal ritual dancing and mummer-style masks.
Georgous to look at, some of the rear projection is perfect in its imperfection, and I really do love the sound of James Roberston Justice's classic-toff-twat professor voice, but as others have stated it's a little slow. I guess if you're going to rip off Cat People, you rip off the pacing too.

The type of film you'd get free on the front of The Sun in 2003.
You could never really call this a good movie, but the cast is insane. Insane. British 70s movies are my jam (poo brown Britain is one of my favorite genres), and this is a prime example, even if Mitchum is sleepwalking through it.
Shout out to Candy Clark for giving the single worst performance I've ever seen.
