This would be a one star film, like most Seagal movies, except for the “anybody seen Richie!?!” Scene, which if it was a 5 minute short would be one of my favorite films of all time, unfortunately there’s a Steven Seagal film where he has an “authentic” Brooklyn accent on each side of that scene .

This was a good one. I liked how it was more like a horror movie than a mystery, although it had a decent mystery. Killer is hard to guess, good misdirection. Had been a long time since I read the book so I couldn’t remember the details.

Basil Rathbone is basically the reason you picture Holmes like you do. His portrayal definitely inspired how Sherlock Holmes is viewed in pop culture. If you can watch very old movies, give this one a go.
