  Watched with the family in Edens room on projector. First watch since seeing it in the cinema and it holds up on second viewing. Fun and adventurous, songs are catchy but not as memorable as those in #1. The bat lady feels a bit mis-used or mis-placed can’t quite put my finger on it.

  Superb film. Amazing performances by Colman Domingo and Clarence Maclin as two leads. Development of their relationship was beautiful. Amazed to see so many actors “as himself” in the credits. Powerful stuff making you feel empathy for all the characters with ease.

  Piggy-backed Fred’s rental. Enjoyed this one. A dramatic score and great cinematography. Good performances and interesting twists in the political drama. Ending felt a bit melodramatic to me, although perhaps that’s the point that it would to a liberal atheist. Not one I’d rush back to watch but enjoyed all the same.

  So she loves books then couldn’t give two shits when a sheep eats part of one that she’s just been given as a gift?! 
  Watched with Eden in her room on the projector. First time watching since I was a kid. This really is one of the classics. A great soundtrack, beautiful score, innovative animation with the ballroom scene and some funny parts too.

Following
