Sharing the Secret 2000
I really enjoyed watching this! I do think that it was a bit unnatural sometimes and almost like a “In a perfect world” type movie. The acting was good for the lines given to the actors. I wish they had expanded on the main characters life with more detail and maybe given the mom some more dimension. There were a lot of things that seemingly happened for no reason, they would never affect her afterwards and there was no real pushback or explanation to her stress or mental health concerns

The Beguiled 2017
I did really like this movie, however I think a criticism I would make is that it did not touch on race and certain elements such as slavery and how the school was very much on a plantation that had slaves in the original book. I thought it removed a lot of important context to the girls and changed the narrative of them being villains with humanity to innocent people who just so happened to be alive at the time…
