Better suits, better fight scenes but more pizza than plot. Also 1 named female character (April) on the whole bill is a little jarring even for 1991. Objectively a pretty trashy excuse for a sequel but if you rate the green VHS then it’s still a 5/5.

Showgirls 1995
I really want Elizabeth Berkley to know I watched showgirls for the first time in 2024 in a packed theater at a sold out screening, and loved it. Yes, this movie is far from perfect: it seems like the craziest of warm up takes were selected for a lot of scenes and definitely bold if not baffling choices were made on some dialogue segments, leading to several instances of dubious delivery and epic involuntary humour. However a relentless vision and leads that bring the “heat” brute force the story to climax and I believe all of it.
