“ My friends… you bow to no one.”

An absolute monumental achievement in filmmaking. Everything about these movie as well as the whole trilogy is nothing shy of utter perfection.

The amount of weight these movies have on me is absurd. My older brother who practically raised me got me into everything I love now: DC, Marvel, Star Wars, LOTR, Movies, etc. He loves all of these things and he pasted his love for these things down to me and…

“ The devil you know is better then the devil you don’t.”

Not only is this one of my favorite films of all time but this is one of the most personal films to me. Really enjoyed the first two acts but felt like it lost its footing in the third, nonetheless a really solid movie. It genuinely had laugh out loud lines in the best way possible.

These are the movies that are some of my favorite. No big drama, no flashy sequences, no jaw dropping scenes. Just a simple short movie about “people”. Movies that feel so real it hurts, movies that are like mirrors because of how relatable they are, movies that feel so real it makes you sit and think and cry and think some more. Quiet, focused, simple, minimalistic; yet utterly heartbreaking.

    “ We’ll be your brothers”

As soon as this movie was announced my dad told me we absolutely had to go watch it. My dad is a very big wrestling fan, he lived through this time in his early 20s, AND he even met Kerry Von Erich. I think my dad is becoming a big fan of A24 because he literally watched a lot of A24 films on his own in preparation including X and Pearl 😭. W Dad.
