It is baffling to me that Efron is not getting the awards buzz he so rightly deserves for this incredible performance. Everyone is fantastic but Efron is something special. The story is a powerful and moving one that is also relentless devastating. I was overwhelmed by the tragic events, much like our lead, and didn't have a chance to process until the very very end, like our lead, and then I balled my eyes out. Brilliant storytelling and the kind of biopic that makes you wonder why can't all biopics be this well told

To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come...

An incredible experience to see this film after marathoning Miyazaki's filmography. This is the perfect swan song. I know I'm going to love it more and more upon repeat viewings but for now, I'm just going to bask in this glorious exploration of what kind of footprint one leaves behind.

At least Final Frontier was goofy and made wild swings. This was so unfortunatly dull from what could have been a solid episode, not feature.

I've grown more and more to appreciate not just the lack of answers, but the flat out refusal of them. Almost like it's the whole point.

So it's official, James Gunn can do no wrong in my mind. This was a phenomenal piece of cinema. Wonderfully surprising, heartwarming, funny as hell, and of course good bloody action fun. Gunn has shown exactly why it is still vitally important to see movies on the big screen with this action packed extravaganza. Every performance, no matter how short, is solid and filled with a great balance of heart while still keeping in mind these are villains (without the need to say "we're the bad guys"). This is exactly what I wanted and needed. Just spectacular, very very very gory, popcorn fun.

The Alien franchise is quite possibly my favorite franchise of all time. I love the universe, I love the characters, and most of all I love the monster. So when I heard that they were continuing the franchise after the Fox acquisition and that they would be pursuing a story that was in between 1 and 2 with nothing to do with the Ripley storyline I was intrigued. Top it off with Fede Alvarez, one of my more exciting horror…
