Two halves of the film where the story was intriguing where I was fool in believing that this was a real bloke. Still didn't take me from the immersion which it had, but using architectural concepts such as brutalism and showing the artist need for perfection. The moustache twirling villain vibe which I got from Guy Pearce's character was "intellectually stimulating". Liked the descent of Laslo, where he shows his mental state cracking where he tries to achieve perfection while…

Mickey 17 2025
When watching it, I was already captivated by the concept of human expendability and how Mickey is treated as a nobody, except from Nasha where she sees Mickey as a human- not a number. The film tries to explore the corporation in how people are expendable and how people have a cult like following towards Kenneth.
Liked the dark humour and how through a clerical error of seemingly reported dead results in near war. Robert Parkinson's Mickey's show a dichotomy of meekness and aggression (17 and 18). His American accent- can't unhear the relatively dimwitted tone which he portrays.

Kinds of Kindness 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Tonight on Yorgos Lanthimos films, we see cannibalism, paranoia and controlling. The holy trinity of grossness, where each have a fable in itself in telling how toxic relationships are, from Raymond to Daniel being controlling, the paranoia that Liz is someone else and the conditioning of purity in a sex cult.
Each of the stories have an interesting theme and story to tell, but the most memorable for me was the Death of RMF, then RMF Flies and finally eating a sandwich. Decent narrative with some gross moments, but then again I am expecting grossness.

As a standalone film, where I was the only person in the screening solo and not with someone (or with kids), the film does really hook you right from the beginning, making a homage to Planet of the Apes while the Narrator…
