  Vertigo 1958

  There was life before I watched Vertigo. And there is now life after I’ve watched it.

  I finally got around to watching this cornerstone of film history. To be candid, I’m still at the beginning of my journey in discovering the giants of Filmmaking Past. Names like Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Fellini, Kurosawa, Bergman. Even a lot of Stanley Kubrick remains on my List of Shame. 

  And I have to say…even watching this in 2025, Vertigo felt like the bold vision…

  Don’t think this is one I’ll be able to recommend to *everybody*. Overall, I enjoyed the film. It’s a very campy sci-fi satire that makes for some fun, if not extremely obvious, social commentary.
