Much worse and far more nihilistic than the original. Mark Wahlberg’s pseudo-intellectual monologues are a tough watch and add little to the plot. Only slightly redeemed by the John Goodman scenes and his hat.

Along with Spotlight and Zodiac, this is another great example of investigative journalism and newsroom drama being turned into captivating cinema. Redford is excellent as Bob Woodward as he wrestles with the far-reaching implications of the Watergate exposé during golden age of print media.
