The Positives:
•J. K. Simmons gives a career best performance as Fletcher. He plays the character to perfection, and you never know what his true motivations until the last scene.
•Miles Teller also does an incredible job. His drumming skills are amazing, and his acting is great. His arc is very compelling and well executed.

Honestly, nowhere near as bad as everyone’s been making it out to be. It is a completely serviceable film.
