so much to love about this and so much to critique and unpack,, i love movies
much to think about re: conversation with sara about how characters can be misogynistic and still be deeply interesting and compelling, but a script being disrespectful to its characters is so disappointing
i wish i watched more araki films when i was younger; i needed the queer cinema in my life and i probably would’ve been much gayer much sooner,, better late than never!! i love the grainy 90s!!
shockingly politically relevant; queer people have always and will always embrace each other’s grief and love and history with open, aching arms
