The Living End 1992
a comedic time capsule of a period in gay culture. the implications and strives this made for gay cinema in its time were very bold and unheard of. even as someone who didn’t have the full context of experiencing the hiv epidemic this film, it’s undeniable the path this paved for other queer film makers. even just putting everything underlying this film has to offer, visually this was so stunning and enjoyable. any still of this film i could hang on my wall proudly

Sing Sing 2023
the REAL prisoners playing themselves is what sold me. beautifully shot, beautifully written. not in love with every part of it, as i definitely saw some heavy reliance on the soundtrack to motivate and propel much of the emotion, but the heart and core of this story was beautiful.
