If you’re going to make a nonbiopic that feels like a biopic, please bother to write an ending that is actually satisfactory and believable. Left the cinema angry and I’m still angry the morning after.
Also maybe there should have been some architects involved to make the architecture actually impressive. Why is there no appreciation for concrete in a movie called the brutalist, why is the only material they are talking about marble? Why is the big architectural gesture that’s teased the whole movie just a cross shaped skylight?
